7 Gallon Mash Water Heater Without Mash Heat Control

Details

Do you like to mash using efficient fly sparging but have trouble preparing the necessary strike and sparge water- The Brewer-s Edge Mash Water Heater heats up to 7 gallons of hot strike or sparge water anywhere you have a 110 volt plug and your own external heating thermostat*. No need for an outdoor burner or ventilation. Just fill it with water, plug it in to your external heating thermostat, adjust the temperature, allow to heat, and dispense hot water for striking your mash (and then refill and heat sparge water). The electric heating element uses 1500 watts, so it is compatible with any 110 volt kitchen GFCI protected plug that is rated at 15 amps or more. No need to wire a special 120 volt circuit or run a costly 220 volt line. This does not include a needed electric heating external thermostat. See below for a list of compatible models. A stainless thermowell holds the probe from your thermostat securely inside the pot. Heating time to a strike water temperature of 175- F. varies from less than 45 minutes for 5 gallons of mash water, to under 90 minutes for the full 7 gallon capacity. Five gallons will strike 16 pounds of grain, and 7 gallons is enough for 22 pounds of grain, giving the Mash Water Heater the capacity to help you mash batches as large as 10 gallons. The sight glass is calibrated in gallons, making it easy to fill and dispense hot water during the mash process. All parts are stainless steel, and the patented Brewer-s Edge valve has a -- FPT outlet, with a 3/8- hose barb included (attach silicone or thermoplastic tubing to this barb, tubing not included). The Mash Water Heater is designed for efficient fly sparging, where it is assumed you already have a separate mash tun and boiling pot. It is designed for heating water only. 13.5" tall, 16" diameter. Some assembly required.
