This recipe kit makes a light, refreshing mead. Hydromel literally means "Honey Water" in Greek. The term "hydromel" is a way of describing the low strength of alcohol in this mead kit.

This kit is a very basic introduction to mead. Estimated alcohol is 5-7%. A perfect choice to carbonate in the bottle or kegs.

Dry Yeast Recommendation:

• DV10: Strong and clean, stays true to original honey's flavours and aromas.
• QA23: Aromatic / Floral, great bouquet (a bit more lean and focused than R2)
• W15: Great aromatic profile (true to the honey source) and heavy mouthfeel.
• M05: This yeast has high alcohol tolerance and ferments well over a wide temperature range.
